Pile of clothes

So my mother in laws friend gave us 12 bags of baby/toddler clothing. it was a lot.
here are some pictures to show the mass size (this was a huge adventure and took about 10 hours to sort, organize, pick out the ones we wanted to keep, wash, fold, and pack away what we weren't going to use yet). I have to say the organizing part was the most tidies, putting them in the correct size piles, that alone took 3 hrs, and then going through each pile and determining what we wanted and what we didn't. oh man. we are very thankful for the clothes though. now we don't have to spend money to get a lot of things.

this was taken from the side of the pile to show height.
front of the pile to show the quantity.
for comparison.
we had a few different piles for sizes. the three in the picture are, 0-3 months, 3-6 months, and ones that didn't have a size on the tag.
6-9 months, 9-12 months. the pile in the back corner was blankets and sheets.
18 months, T2, T3, T4-those are all in one big pile on the floor. the little pile on the couch was 12-18 months.
all the shoes that we were given. we didnt keep all of them.
this is how the shelf looked with just the clothes from the Arnold/Harvey baby shower.
this is how it looked after we went through that massive pile of clothes. 0-3 months top shelf. and 3-6 months on the bottom shelf.
all the 6-9 month clothing we packed away since we wont need it for a while. we packed it in an air tight bag. this is from the top.
this is from the side. so you can see the mass clothes we stuffed in there.

These are the shoes we kept. it still looks like a lot but we got rid of about 15 pairs and kept the rest.
