2 Months Old.

My dearest Sydney:
You are getting so big. At your 2 month checkup Thursday the 15th you weighed 12 pounds even: 80th percentile, you were 23 1/4inches long: 82nd percentile, and head circumference was 14 1/4 inches: 3rd percentile. So as the doctor said you have a small head. We also found out you have cradle cap, so I had to go buy dandruff shampoo and I'm currently having to bathe you once a day for a week and then 2 times a week after that.
Some special things we did this past month:

Had your first trip to Zion National Park with the Arnolds for labor day weekend.

Went to your first wedding. It was my Uncle Brads and new Aunt Rinda's and you were such a good baby.

You had your baby blessing given by Grandpa Arnold (my dad) in the Heber 9th ward. You slept through the entire thing.

Things you can do:

suck your thumb and finger-you have been doing this often to console yourself or when you are hungry. you have scabs on your thumb and finger from all the sucking. its cute and funny.
you can hold your head up wonderfully, in fact, at the Lousbury/Mendoza baby shower you got a bumbo, and we have been using it and you do pretty well for only being two months old.
you prefer to be able to look around and move your head, and because of this you hate to be cuddled into my arms unless you are already asleep.
Grandpa Arnold (aka my dad) brought up a swing for you and you love to sit in it and look around and watch the dogs.
you love to coo and ahh
you love your bath time (already, which is awesome)
you always fall asleep in your car seat, even if you just woke up from a nap.

This month has been a huge learning experience for you and me. The Last couple of weeks you have only been waking up once at night and your staying awake for what feels like forever, especially when I am trying to get stuff done and you just want me to hold and play with you. You love to play especially with your dad.
You have been making the cutest sounds: you coo at a lot of things, especially when you get your diaper changed. It is so cute. When dad comes home from school he plays with you instead of doing his homework or sleeping and you love it so much. You two make faces to each other, he reads to you, and just loves you (we sometimes joke about how i should get the job and he be they stay at home dad-but he would spoil you rotten (wink, wink).)
