I haven't been to Currant Creek in a few years, but this year I really wanted to go with Sydney so we did. We left Cedar on Thursday the 9th at 10 AM and got to my parents house at 3:30 PM. We had to stop there because for the last hour we were having car troubles- the jeep was stalling, and then if we waited a minute we could give it a lot of gas and it would go for another minute, all the while still trying to stall out on us. So we got to my parents house, I was hoping it had just overheated and needed a little while to cool off, so we waited 20 minutes but that didn't do anything. By the time I hit the end of the block I had already stalled out again.
So we drove over to Run Right Auto...he is my dad's mechanic so I trusted him, and Jim said that our fuel pump went out. So after getting some cost estimates (between $750$-900) we drove back to my parents house and waited for my sister Sarah and, her boyfriend, Brady to show up and help us get up there. Well right as we started packing the car my dad shows up at the house. Apparently my mom got worried and finally convinced my dad to come look for us and didn't us at all on the road so just kept driving.
Well we packed up dads truck with the big stuff and Banjo, and woke Jake up (who mind you got off a grave shift at 7 AM, helped me pack up the car, and the drove the entire time to my parents house. Then stayed awake through all the car troubles. By the time my dad got to the house he had had 40 minutes of sleep). We got up to Currant Creek around 8:30 PM.
We had fun on Friday. Took a few walks to the lake. Let Banjo swim in the lake a few times, he also got fed everyone's' scraps-he didn't want thing to eat for awhile. Sydney played in the sand at the park and ate dirt for the first time.
We then left Friday evening around 9 PM to go back to my parents house so Jake could call around on Saturday and make arrangements for us to get back home. We then spent the rest of the day on Saturday helping my parents unload and clean up everything. My dad also rented a trailer to tow the Jeep back to Cedar with.
Sunday morning at 7 AM we left my parents house and my dad and brother drove us back home ( well more correctly-Jake drove on the way down while they slept), and then drove themselves back to Heber that same day.
So overall it was quite an eventful weekend. My mother-in-law is letting us her car for a while til ours is fixed. And both my in laws are very nice and gave us money to get the car fixed. So to thank all of our parents for all the help we received
