Christmas 2017

On Christmas Eve we opened up our Christmas Jammies and our new book.

After the kids went to bed Jake and I stayed up another hour. Then Santa had to get to work, so Santa started working around 11 PM and didn't finish til 3 AM. It was  a long night. We were glad that we had put together Lydia's gift to the kids, which was a jeep they can ride/drive outside, the weekend before.
Christmas Day we got up at about 8:30-9 AM. We didn't have to wake anyone up this time. Sydney got out of her bed, ran to the living room, got her tablet, sat down on the couch and started watching and I sent Jake out there to get her. Apparently she didn't even notice all the presents and stockings set up. She was sent to her room and probably watched her tablet for a total of 20 minutes before everyone else was awake. All the kids piled on our bed with me while Jake took care of breakfast  (a toaster strudel).

After that all the kids did their stockings. William kept "helping" Elizabeth until we pointed out he had his own.

After that we went to the presents under the tree. We did each kid opening one gift at a time. William didn't want to sit and open gifts once he got a couple cars. Silly boy. Sydney had guessed a few days before which present was her guitar. So when she opened that box and it was a guitar she made sure to tell us she knew what it was...:)
Lizzy has so much fun opening gifts. I think she could do it all the time.

We did all the kid gifts first. Then we asked Sydney if she thought Santa had eaten his cookies, which lead everyone downstairs to the playroom. And in the playroom, Santa had a left a Barbie house with Barbies, and accessories, and a big Barbie Van. A Mini Trampoline. And A Rug that had roads on it and Santa had set up cars and a village on the rug. The kids loved it. William went through the whole rug, collecting all the cars.

The kids got:
Each of them got a new book. A Box full of clothes. Sydney got a guitar, a guitar lesson beginners book, guitar picks, Lizzy got new boots, Sydney got new boots from Grandma moss, William got a new yellow car, a big truck, and a box of dinosours, Lizzy got a Minnie Mouse phone, Sydney got a new scooter, Lizzy got 5 new princess dresses, and Sydney got a new Elsa princess dress, Sydney got a game that she can spell words on, Lizzy got a bag of "beads" which are really big to help with hand coordination, and Lizzy got a new Princess Belle piggy bank, and Lizzy got a box of Duplo legos.
Not to mention all the stuff from their stockings.

While the kids were playing with their new toys, Jake and I opened our stockings and gifts from each other.

He gave me a new monitor, that is so big. 2x bigger than my other monitor. And it has features built into it for picture editing. Isn't he just amazing. My mother in law got me a "best daughter in law" t-shirt that came 2 weeks late.
I gave him 2 outfits (pants & shirt), 2 Nintendo Switch games (Lego and Zelda), Cases for the Nintendo Switch Controllers, Case for the Nintendo Switch, JBL Flip 4 mini speaker, 2 different coffee mugs. His mother gave him a new office chair.

The Harvey Christmas party at Grandmas house started at 3 pm.The girls got pony's that walk on a leash, and William got a dragon that roars. We ate good food, Laughed and had fun.

Christmas was good this year.
