i wish i had taken pictures at every step of the way. this is my thing, but jake occasionally helps-like this morning he came in with this red leafy plant and it was pretty and such a suprise.
he does cute little things like that occasionally. so here is my garden so far, everything is growing huge, and most of the veggies planted are for the iguanas to enjoy-we'll see how it goes this year and next year maybe we'll try different things. the box that you see in these pictures, my sweet husband built just for me, he was so excited about it, we filled it with 10 -5 gallon buckets of just dirt, 2 bags of manure, and 3 bags of potting soil. it is a heavy box. since the way my apartment building is set up there is only a spout in the front yard, so to make it easier on ourselves jake jimmied up the hose that hooks to washing machine so we can just turn a little nob and water comes out the hose and then we can water the box in the backyard.


this is our blackberry bush-jake is really big on no store bought blackberries.

these are little growers, that come with little degradable bags full of dirt and you just put the seed inside the dirt and then put the lid on it and you have a miniature garden house. then when the little seedlings pop up you plant them where you want them.
