Dearest William,
These past 4 months with you have been crazy and wonderful. You are so fun, and you love your sisters. You love when daddy comes home and plays with you and makes funny faces at you. You have the cutest little squeal when something is so exciting for you.
You are talking like crazy. Your favorite is putting your fist in your mouth and talking around that.
You are so funny. You are content to just lie on your back/tummy and play for most of the time you are awake during the day. There are times where you just want to be held. I understand that. And usually you only cry when you are tired or hungry (or the obvious of you being hurt).
Starting to suck your hand/thumb when you are tired and don't want/have the binky. It's really cute. At night you'll roll onto your left side and suck your left thumb while falling asleep.
You want to pull yourself into a sitting position all the time. We lay back and if you don't want to lay back and relax, you will put your head forward and pull yourself into an upright position. You are getting better at this every day.
You had your first try of rice cereal the other day. You did pretty well with it actually. A few days before that you had taken a vanilla wafer out of my hand and put it in your mouth. So I took it from your hand and put it back in your mouth and you sucked really hard on that cookie. I had to take it away before it crumbled into chunks so you wouldn't choke.
I have started putting you to bed when you are tired and starting to suck your thumb that way you can put yourself to sleep in your bed. It also makes things simpler and you learn to put yourself to sleep in your bed.
