Saturday, November 27th
We pulled out all the Christmas decorations. Got the living room all cleaned up and ready to set everything up.
Started with the tree. Jake let the kids help hold all the pieces while he put it together.
Then all the kids raced for all the decor boxes, but Jake and I stopped them and said one box at a time. We don't want stuff broken. Then I started pulling out decorations and handing them to the kids. Jake made me put down my camera for a few minutes and help them decorate the tree. That was fun, but mostly my job is to make sure my special ornaments aren't anywhere near the ground where they can be knocked off. We also got the stockings, and other decorations up on the bookshelf.
Once we got the tree up, we headed outside to decorate the front yard. We put up our Santa dog, and added lights around the whole edge of the yard. We added lights to the front window bay and around the garage. The yard and house looked really good afterwards.
Later that evening after dinner, we had the kids decorate their little trees that they get to keep in their bedrooms. We bought special little lights for their trees this year, so they really liked that.
