Valentines to St Patricks Day

February 14th: We didn't do much for Valentines, but after Jake got home from school he surprised me with flowers and a small box of chocolates.

V-Day Flowers

February 21st: Jakes Bday. He turned the big 25. He had classes today and so we did his bday before class that way he could sleep after class.

March 1st-3rd: Family Vacay in St George
My family came down and we spent a few days in my mothers Aunt & Uncle's condo. It was beautiful weather. We didn't do much other than lounge around.Went to the swimming pool and hot tub owned by the housing community. And to celebrate Jake's bday, we had cheesecake on Sunday. Jake came down on Friday, but had to leave to work Saturday, and then came back down on Sunday to get Sydney and I.

The week of Dogs and Driving (March 8-16):
-Friday the 8th: Sydney got another hair cut. We are trying to thicken up her hair. Although I was sad to see the length gone because it finally started fitting into ponytails.
-Monday the 11th we drove down to Hurricane to have Lydia look at Banjo because he wasn't eating and drinking regularly. Eveything was of course fine. We stayed for a visit, and ended up going to the pound to see if they had any little dogs avaliable for adoption. We thought a small companion for Banjo would be good and if the dog was small he wouldn't be a huge burden. There wasn't anything at the pound for us.
-Tuesday the 12th Lydia calls to tell me the pound says there is a small Pomeranian and Poodle mix available. She goes to the pound for me and checks out the dog-and says because of its size it will a lap sitter. I didn't want a lap sitter so we passed on that dog. After that phone call I started looking on petfinder.com and found a small-medium size dog named Chewy (after Chewbacca from Star Wars). After Jake woke up for the day we drove down to Hurricane to the house where the dog was at. We adopted him.
-Thursday the 14th we had to take Banjo to the vet because he was in major pain due to something happening to his tail. I assumed it had something to do with the rough housing Chewy and Banjo were doing the night before. So the Vet said his tail was still intact (good news because that meant his tail didn't need to be amputated). So we got some pain meds and anti-inflammatory meds and we left with a bill of $100. Ouch.
-Friday the 15th Banjo was able to move his tail around after all the meds had kicked in
-Saturday the 16th we drove down to Hurricane to help Lydia and Scott move into their new house they are renting (they sold the house they lived in).
(we drove down to Hurricane 3 times in one week!)
Chewy and Sydney weight the exact same: 23 pounds

Trying to lose weight:
Well I haven't got the diet part down, but my friend Michelle and I have been walking everyday in the park. I will lose 30 pounds by the end of summer-heaven help me.
