Elizabeth Celebrated her 5th Birthday on Tuesday, October 22nd.
We started the morning off after breakfast and getting Sydney to school and driving Jake downtown to work. We then went to Zurchers to get balloons and paper plates and cups.
She picked a Rainbow Dash (My Little Pony) Balloon and William fought with her over holding that balloon over the next 3 days we had it in the house.
I then took the kids to Panda Express for lunch.
We then came back to the house and Lizzy made her cake. But Lizzy loves cupcakes more than any other desert, so she wanted both a cake and cupcakes. So we made a little 5 inch cake for her and then used the rest of the mix to make cupcakes. I love this tradition of having the kids make and decorate their own birthday cakes.
After Sydney got out of school we headed to the Children's Museum for a while. Lizzy loves the museum. So I thought since she wasn't gonna have a big party this year that going to the museum would be something fun to do on her birthday.
We picked up Jake from work and came home and Lizzy decorated her cake and cupcakes. We made pink and purple frosting. And of course while we were at Zurchers we picked up some M and M's and sixlets for her to decorate with. Sydney and William ended up (after some encouragement on my part) being allowed by Lizzy to decorate their own cupcakes.
Then my parents came and did cake and presents with us.
I called Lydia when Lizzy was going to open her present. It was a stuffed animal Unicorn (which turned out to be Celestia from My Little Pony) but she loved it anyway.
