Yard Work

May, June, July, August, and September were filled with Removing rocks (which was done at the end of last year so September 2018) from the front flower bed and moving the rocks to the back cement pad. Then Jake built me a garden box. Before the garden box could be built we had to take down the trees and remove the roots. We removed the trees by renting a chainsaw from Home Depot, which the chain kept falling off of, so we returned it and Jake bought a good axe and we used that to finish the process (last year in August 2018, and then we rented dumpsters to put the trees in and get them out of our back yard). In the process of all of that we rented a stump/root remover thing from Home Depot, but we only had our car so we asked Grandpa if he could help us. And the stupid thing moved and ran into Grandpa's back truck window and shattered it. So we had to use the shop vac to clean up all the grass out of the back of the truck. And then the stump remover barely worked for us because our stumps were too tall.  So Jake dug around and used the axe to keep going at the stumps and eventually we removed them. Then he dug me a whole next to my patio that we filled with the rocks, and the dirt from the whole and the front flower bed filled up my garden box. During all of this the kids really enjoyed playing in all the dirt.
